Training and Employment

The association is always looking for ways of promoting and developing training and employability opportunities for workers in the La Araucanía, Los Lagos, Aysén y Magallanes regions, in order to strengthen the workforce here. As a result, the Council for Aquaculture Skills in the Salmon Industry was set up to bridge gaps between available education and training and the real demands of the industry.

We have also formally recognized the experience, knowledge, skills and attitudes of those who have worked in the industry, through the introduction of Occupational Skills Certification across 21 occupational profiles.

In 2011 the National Training and Employment Service (SENCE) gave special recognition to SalmonChile for its significant contribution to the development of policies that promote employment and improve its workforce.
